Nepali Congress leader calls on president
Kathmandu, July 22: Leaders of Nepali Congress calls on President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav to discuss on the present political crisis today.
At the meeting held at the presidential palace, Sheetal Niwas, the leaders drew the attention of the president that the elections were not possible in the slated date declared by the government, and the time frame allotted by the Election Commission for amendment of necessary laws for holding elections had come to an end.
After the meeting, Nepali Congress Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel said it was a matter to be thought over by the president himself about his role as the patron of the constitution for seeking solution to the present political crisis.
Present in the meeting were party president Shushil Koirala, senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba and Vice President Poudel.
