Road mishap took 14 lives in Palpa
Palpa, July 28: 14 people died on the spot in a jeep accident at Jorte along the Tansen-Tamghas road stretch in Palpa district.
The passengers were heading for the last rite of one Dhan Bahdur Rana in Gulmi who died six days back inDelhi,India.
Eight women, four children and two men died in the accident, police informed.
Critically injured Satyandra Rana and Nilesh Rana are undergoing treatment atPrabhasMedicalHospitalbased in Tansen.
The accident might have taken place at around 11 last night, sources confirmed. The police rescue team has been searching for other bodies.
The jeep veered some 80 meters down the road into the river, locals said.
Earlier, it was informed that the deceased were Indian pilgrims
