Eleven people died in Dhading road mishap

Dhading, August 7: Eleven people killed and more than 28 others were hurt when a passenger bus met with an accident at Dhading district today.

Ten people died on spot while another injured died on the way to hospital. Among the dead, nine bodies are of men and two bodies of women.

Police has identified seven bodies as Phanindra Subedi, from Manpakadi 4, Rupandehi, Balram Chowdhary from Kopuwa-4, Kapilvastu, Mohan Nagarkoti, from Rudrapur-2, Rupandehi, Parwati Gharti Magar, from Tamghas-3, Gulmi, Sushila Magar, from Butwal,  Ranjan Thapa, from Pokhara 6, Kaski, Sher Bahadur Thapa, from Rupandehi. Four others are yet to be identified.

The accident occurred when the bus (Lu Kha 7051) heading to Kathmandu from Butwal veered off the road and fell hundred meters down the cliff at Bhumethan of Simle along the Prithivi Highway.

Police said that the casualty may rise further as the 38-seater bus was crowded with more people.
