NC can lead government but it should solve the issues-Prachanda
Kathmandu, August 7: Leaders of various parties have stressed on consensus to give an way out to the country from the current crisis.
Speaking at a program in Lalitpur today, Maoist Chairman Prachanda said that new government could be formed under Nepali Congress’ leadership only if it is ready to solve the disputes seen in constitution drafting.
He said that if the major parties are committed to move ahead to draft constitution with five point deal forged some months ago then Congress’ leadership is acceptable.
Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala stressed over the formation of the national consensual government for giving a way out to the nation.
He added that every political party should act responsibly and move ahead with trust.
CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal said that the country will never move ahead if consensus is not forged.
