Useless to seek PM’s resignation-Oli
Saptari, August 12: UML leader KP Sharma Oli has said that present government’s life was prolonged as the Nepali Congress did not present its own candidate for PM.
At a meeting with leading workers of the CPN-UML in Rajbiraj, he said that although it was said that Congress will lead the next government, it could not fix a candidate for PM because of internal wrangling and therefore the present government got the continuity.
Leader Oli blamed UCPN-Maoist Chairman Prachanda that his yesterday’s statement was a ploy to become a prime minister once again.
Prachanda said in a programme organized in the capital yesterday that the basis of the five-point consensus had been finished and Nepali Congress will not get the leadership of the government.
On the resignation of the prime minister, he said there is no meaning in seeking resignation of the PM who has been already become caretaker. “We only want national consensus, not his resignation,” Oli stressed.
